What speed Internet do I need?
The rule of thumb is: 5Mbit/s (Megabits per second) of download speed and very little upload speed per box.
It is useful to add some reserves to that minimum. We do recommend at least a “30/10” connection, to be on the safe side, especially if you have 2-3 boxes.
So, if your Internet Provider says something like “50/50” or “100/10”, that is way more than enough to have 5 boxes working at the same time + surfing the Web + sending emails + a moderate file download, all on the same Internet access.
Note: e.g. “50/5” refers to 50 Mbit/s download and 5 Mbit/s upload speed.
